Once again the Young Women are hosting the *Great Spaghetti Dinner Fund-Raiser* and hope you will join us for good food at a fantastic price! $10 for your whole family! Getting ready for TREK!

The Laurels started their hunt for Pioneer clothing in the form of a scavenger hunt at our local Deseret Industries last night. Some questions arose as to what REALLY is expected of them when it comes to these costumes we're required to wear. So I'm going to post some pictures and some answers to those and many more timely questions right here!

In my hunt for information, I came across a great blog about another recent trek and will post comments as I feel beneficial. Happy Reading!

This was an amazing experience for me, I would do it again in a heartbeat. My favorite part of day one would be that the women didn't find out they were strong. They found out they were built. But not just physically. Oh no, we are built mentally, physically, but most importantly, we are built spiritually. It truly was an experience. And for those people who did not go: You missed out.

New Year and New Beginnings 2012

I hope you all are having a great new year and that you have a renewed focus on Personal Progress. We were so very pleased with the wonderful program to introduce our new theme for the year and to hear from our *Light Keepers* of the YW values. Each YW Light Keeper represented a woman from the scriptures both in costume and life experience story. It was one of my favorite programs!

Faith was represented by Kierra, Divine Nature by Emily, Individual Worth - Arieanna, Knowledge - Jayci, Choice and Accountability - Amy, Good Works - Madison, Integrity - Lexi, & Virtue by Janelle.

Congratulations to our volleyball team this year for making it to regions! So far we have played four stakes, two games each, and are undefeated! We have another night at regions on Thursday the 20th at the Welby stake center - 6 pm.

Thank you to the families that come to support, our coaches, and our amazing girls on the team!

Missionary Night 2.0

It's time once again for our second annual Missionary Dinner Night, and we are so excited! New host families join with those from last year to bring exciting and cultural experiences and well as spiritual. This year our dinner is on Wednesday, October 26th. The youth will be receiving their "missionary calls" and companions on the 12th during mutual and will be preparing their lessons and getting host families (youth will not want to miss this!).

The night will consist of authentic food from all around the world, prepared especially for the youth. Then the "missionaries" will teach the host family a lesson and share their personal testimonies. This night will help the youth become comfortable with others in their ward, sharing their testimonies with others, and will prepare them for their missions in the very near future.

It is a night that promises adventure, laughs, and memories, and will bring us together as youth and as a ward. We thank you all for participating in this outstanding opportunity.
